Margaret Hamilton the Space Scientist and engineer

Asynchronous software, priority scheduling, and Human in the Loop decision capability were concepts created by Hamilton over the course of her career and are now the cornerstones of contemporary software design. By coining the term software engineering, she also fought to ensure that programming received the respect it deserved. After all, as her work demonstrated, software could improve the world.
