Model Fancy Acholonu, who is of Nigerian descent, claims that she was "manipulated" into publicly apologising to his ex-fiance, actor Alex Ekubo, months after she called off their engagement. Acholonu expressed regret for hurting her ex-fiancé Alex Ekubo and his family in a message uploaded on Thursday, December 29, 2022. The actor also expressed his gratitude for her public apologies in the comment area. However, Acholonu has now asserted that she was forced into making the public apology after being dragged over it for days and followed by controversy. After publishing her first blog article of the year, she did this. She claims that she is now liberated and no longer in anyone's control. She penned; "everyone a happy new year. 2023 will be the year I finally break free from anyone's control, gain power, and stand up for myself without fear. The chain has broken, and I'm free. God be with us everyone."
