Parents of minor voters would be arrested for electoral fraud, according to INEC.

In order to prevent fraud, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has once more advised minors not to enter polling places during the 2023 election. Festus Okoye, National Commissioner of INEC and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, warned that underage voters would be detained alongside their parents, who would be charged with aiding and abetting such an endeavour, during an interview on Channels Television on Monday, January 2.
