The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced plans to redesign N200, N500, and N1000 notes.

Plans to redesign several naira notes have been made public by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). At a press conference on October 26th, the CEO of CBN, Godwin Emefiele, revealed this. The N200, N500, and N1000 notes would all be redone, according to Emefiele. He said that the new issues and designs will take effect in December 2022 and asked Nigerians to visit their local banks to swap their current notes for the new ones when that time comes.
