Arthur Eze rejects Obi's ambition and supports Atiku

Prince Arthur Eze, a successful businessman and well-known Anambra native, has distanced himself from Mr. Peter Obi's bid for the presidency on behalf of the Labour Party. Eze claimed he was not a supporter of Obi's bid for the presidency since he had observed that the former governor of Anambra State was unable to garner support in the South and the North. He made these remarks on Monday in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, which was the 2022 Ofala Festival of the traditional ruler of Ukpo. The businessman spoke while Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the state governor, traditional leaders, women's organisations, and notable state citizens were present. He said that he had already persuaded Obi to drop out of the presidential contest, but that Obi had turned down his advances. Eze emphasised that Soludo, who is of Igbo descent, is the one who is expected to succeed Muhammadu Buhari as president of Nigeria in the near future.
