Maintain Your Hope for a Better Country, Obi Charges Nigerians
Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, advised Nigerians Wednesday to hold onto optimism for a better country, especially as they get ready to retake their country in 2023. Former Anambra State governor Obi has said that he will celebrate Christmas with the less fortunate people at the Internally Displaced Persons' (IDP) camps in Ibaji and Idah, the Igalaland ancient capital. He made this call yesterday while giving Nigerians his Christmas message for 2022. He argued that the Christmas holiday gave rise to optimism in the globe and urged Nigerians to cling to that hope in order to build a better and more prosperous country. He reiterated that Christmas is a time of love and that it is important to remember that God donated His only Son for the salvation of mankind every time we celebrate the birth of Christ. For the benefit of people and our community, he stated, "We, as humans, should therefore strive to make sacrifices, even when it is unpleasant." He exhorted Nigerians to seek to live out the actual spirit of the holiday season rather than merely partake in its festivities and glitz.
