Nigerian soldiers defeat ten bandits and destroy their Kaduna encampment.

Ten bandits have been neutralised by Operation Forest Sanity troops, who have also destroyed their camps throughout Kaduna State's Chikun, Birnin Gwari, and Giwa Local Government Areas. On Friday, December 23, 2022, a statement from the State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs made this information public. He claimed that during ambush patrols in the broader Chikun/Birnin Gwari areas, troops killed eight bandits and captured six motorcycles. According to the statement, "the military set up ambush positions at bandits' crossing points in the Buruku/Birnin Gwari districts." In their first successful mission, the forces encountered robbers and killed eight of them while also reclaiming four motorcycles and three cell phones. In a subsequent mission, the soldiers engaged bandits and retrieved two motorcycles.
