1.4 million point-of-sale operators may lose their jobs, according to the president of the Bank Agents Association.

Mobile money bank agents across the country have been working to increase financial inclusion for decades. Over the country, we have over 1.4 million mobile money and banking agents who make a living doing this. We as an association have tried over the years to align with the CBN's objectives and goals in terms of financial inclusion, and I can tell you that many agents across the country have dedicated decades of their lives to serving and delivering financial services in local government areas where banks are not present. Many agents' efforts have resulted in positive gains for the country. Victor Olojo who is the National President of the Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria made this remark.
