11 villagers were allegedly massacred in a recent Plateau attack.

Gunmen assaulted the Maikatako hamlet in the early hours of today, November 16, in the Butura District of the Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. According to reports, at least 11 persons were killed. According to DailyTrust, the gunmen attacked the neighborhood at around one in the morning and started shooting nonstop while setting fire to homes. Along with the deaths and destroyed homes, it was reported that the attack also resulted in several injuries. According to a local neighbor, at least 11 people have died so far, and some of them were burned beyond recognition. According to the resident, the attackers returned to the neighborhood at about 8:00 am and started firing. He claimed that security personnel had not yet launched a counterattack. the command of the state police is yet to comment on this development.
