Dangote refinery is 97% finished, according to NMDPRA
The Dangote petroleum refinery is reportedly 97% complete, according to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). The admission was made on Thursday in Lago by Mr. Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of NMDPRA, in a statement that was signed by Mr. Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Dangote Industry Ltd. Ahmed made this statement when officials of the Dangote refinery visited the regulatory body in Abuja to present the facility 2022 2023 work plan. According to Ahmed, the Dangote refinery installed capacity of 650,000 barrels per day is expected to quadruple the overall output of Nigeria struggling refining infrastructure. The facility, he added, was also expected to completely satisfy Nigeria demand for all refined products.
