PDP Collapse: New Twist as Bold Moves Against Atiku, Ayu led by Wike, Makinde, and Ortom
The conflict between Governor Nyesom Wike and his men and PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar is still going on. The disgruntled men have made a fresh decision, declining to attend the former vice presidential candidate campaign kickoff. Atiku has since landed in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom, to launch his campaign for the 2023 general elections. Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, and Seyi Makinde and Samuel Ortom, the governors of Oyo and Benue states, respectively, have announced that they will not attend today Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign launch in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State. The three disgruntled governors, along with their two colleagues Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) and Okezie, had similarly snubbed the campaign council inauguration at the Conference Centre in Abuja on September 28.
