JUST IN: Breakthrough for Nigeria Students as SERAP Plans to sue President Muhammadu Buhari administration over Ongoing ASUU Strike.
As the strike reaches its 200th day on Friday September 2 SERAP has decided to challenge the federal government refusal to comply with ASUU requests. Nigerian students are encouraged by the socio economic rights and accountability initiative to join the lawsuit and force the federal government to comply with ASUU demands by joining it. The ASUU began a one month warning strike on February 14 as a result of the government refusal to accede to their demands, the strike eventually lasted for more than six months. The socio economic rights and accountability project (SERAP) has announced that it is putting together some court documents to sue President Muhammadu Buhari administration for failing to put an end to the current strike in the education sector. The organization disclosed.
